A better way to autorun

Its a fact TR autorun sucks, you cant jump or look at inventory or use any other keys. So, while running press enter ( as if enter conversation) then take finger off forward key, you'll still be running, then press enter again. :) now youve got a decent autorun, you can jump look at inventory change weapons, whatever. If you already know this sorry to bother ya, but i figured it out awhile ago and  i keep talking to ppl who didnt realize you could do this so hope it helps. good hunting :)

PS. i've taken a page from tersota, and arranged my hotkeys, 1 for changing ability, and 1 for changing ability taskbar 1-5, and lowering the number of abilities on each bar. its been alot more effective. Thx T

Re: A better way to autorun

I used this before I realized num-lock was auto-run.

I thought about using the G-15 keyboard macros to setup a button to hit enter, move forward, hit esc to have the better auto-run feature like you mentioned. If I do set it up I'll let you know how it works out.

Re: A better way to autorun

I use, I think mouse button 4 on my Logitech (just a plain MX510 Optical) mouse, which is just a tiny button on the left side that's easy for me to press without fumbling with my keyboard.

With hotkeys, I belatedly realized you can change the hotkey "combos" (Shift/1, Shift2) to just a single hotkey (anything available on your keyboard).

For now I've assigned my 1st secondary hotkey tray to "F" (I changed the Melee key from "F" to "Left Shift" key to allow this), and my 2nd secondary hotkey tray to "G". I found this works pretty well in combat to let me choose things from two different secondary hotkey trays quickly. And if I hit "F" accidentally it just is my 1st secondary hotkey tray so that's OK.
