It seems so long ago since we left Earth and I'm not sure if we will ever see it again. A month prior to the attack, I had just finished my military service and joined up with a mercenary company. It was not long after my training that I discovered our company and a few others had been hired to look after some top secret security installations. It did not make sense at the time to us as it was just a warehouse with boxed up equipment. However, within a few weeks, scientists started rolling in and unpacking those boxes. I know now that those boxes contained wormhole technology that we used for our evacuation points.

The bane hit evacutation point Gamma, the one that I was stationed at, pretty hard. Over half of our forces were killed during the first assult. Close to a 100 men died that day. The evacuation point was lost and only a few of us some civilians mostly scientists managed to make it to the next one. Only four of my company were left including myself. I wish we could have saved more...

Guarding a warehouse was pretty boring so we got to know each other pretty well and I'm not sure if it was that or the fact that we had barely escaped with our lives. Our bond grew from a simple friendship into a brotherhood. Trying to forget the past and move towards a new future and the survival of the human species, we banned together and formed the Misfit Mercenaries. We will make the Bane pay for what they have done to us, to our families, and to our homeworld.
