Origins of Jerec Suron

My name is Jerec Suron, but that isn't my real name. My real name isn't important that side of me died the day the Bane invaded Earth.  I was a member of the National Guard assigned to D Company 2nd Battalion 224th Aviation.  I was to facilitate the transfer of scientists that day to a remote location off the eastern seaboard. Unknown what was laying wait for me at this location I followed my order to the classified location.

One of the scientists taps my shoulder and says “That is it, that oil rig is where we are heading”.

I respond “Roger, my orders are to assist you…wait what is that?!”

I can see breaking from the clouds above some sort of ship breaking the skyline. I quickly jump on the Radio “Delta wing, Air Control can you confirm 2 unidentified crafts in the sky of unknown Origin!”  The same scientists grabs my shoulder and frantically says

“Quickly, You have not time to waste you must get us there now!”

I look up and flip the Emergency broadcasts and repeat: “This Delta wing: two Unidentified Bogies at Location Sierra, Two Unidentified bogies at Location Sierra”

Quickly the radio chatter fires up all over the board. I’m left wondering what in the world is going on as I finally land the Helicopter on the rig. The scientists quickly motions to me follow them. Meanwhile, I receive a radio signal on a secure line. “Delta wing: This Major Holt. You are no longer assigned to the aviation unit you are to assist the safe depart of these scientists any remaining personal off this facility. You are no longer an Avionics Electrician you a now a soldier”

I reply:  “Sir, What in the world is going on here?”

Major Holt says “It is an Unknown alien race that been on it way to earth for sometime now. We’ve been preparing for it you are to transfer these scientists off Planet by Wormhole technology salvage from ancient dig sites on this planet. It  was left behind a long time ago for us to discover. Do you what you must those scientists must survive! Major holt out”

Quickly as soon as the transmission ends I’m thrown off my feet by a blast from a Bane ship. My head was spinning and my ears were ringing I could barely stand on my own 2 feet.  Quickly I see Enemy Troops being dropped off I grab my gun and find cover wondering how am I going to aim with my head spinning like this. I try to aim and fire but miss. I mutter to myself:  “Damnit! My head won’t stop spinning. Screw aiming let see how they deal with this!”

I reach down and flick my rifle into full auto and proceed to fire round after round dropping out clip after clip of rounds into the group of Bane soldiers quickly cutting them down. Two other solders run up to me. “Sgt! Sgt! Are you ok?!”

I respond with a growl “Don’t worry about me Soldier! Kill!” quickly we make sort work of the Bane as the land on the deck as an announcement comes blaring over a PA system. “Evacuation Process is complete would all remaining personal report to the transfer chamber you have 20 minutes until self destruct”

2 Soldiers look at me “Lead the way! Hurry!” We take off running down the corridors of the Oil rig. I start dropping equipment in order to lighten my load. I soon enter the wormhole chamber ordering the 2 soldiers through.  I take a moment to realize I’m leaving everyone behind as I stand on balcony just above the portal staring down at it.  Within 30 minutes I found out we weren’t alone in the universe and within 10 I have to say goodbye to this planet. I’m left to wonder if we’ll ever see it again.  Then, slamming through the door behind is a bane soldier knocking me off the balcony along with him landing in the portal and quickly being teleported across the world.

I’m left standing in a middle of a forest standing over a bane soldier I just beat to death. Alone wondering where everyone else is and how did I end up here alone. Left Lost in the Woods….

Coming Soon....Lost in the Woods

Lost in the woods

To think I thought that this day was going to be a normal boring work day. I now find myself wrestling around on the floor with an alien soldier I would soon be calling the bane. I realize this was going to be a fight to the death. It was me or him. Thankfully I had year of training on my side and level 4 combative training which was the highest you could achieve in the military.  Thou of course these moves would have to be altered to work on an alien since they were designed for a human. I knew I could still use the basics. I waited for this warrior on top of me to leave himself open! Ha! he did it! I grab his arm pulling in downward with a swift thrust of my hips upward tossing him promptly to the ground scrambling over him and putting in an arm bar.  I pulled on his arm with all my strength hearing the tendons make a loud snapping noise as they were being torn.  I stood up and proceed to kick him with my boots while venting my frustration "This was suppose to be a normal day! dull and boring! No! What do I get? An Ugly Overgrown Slug of an alien breathing down my neck! Earth lost!! My friends lost! and most of all! I'm lost!" breathing heavily I give my final kicks as he curls shrivel and shakes the way a insect does when he only has moments to live. "No water!" Thud! "No food!" Thud! "No Map" Thud! "Most of all! I'll never see earth again!"

Breathing heavily I finally calm down and thought great! Lost on an alien world. Where was my training for this? I had no Food , No water, and most of all I had no clue what Vegetation was edible. I could live without food I couldn't live without water. I knew if I wanted to survive I would have to locate water.

I took a deep breath as I stood over the bulged body of the Bane Soldier. I was in awe of my surroundings this forest was nothing like back on earth the air felt cool on my face and the air smelled so clean and fresh. I gathered all my thoughts I was just coming down off an adrenaline rush and everything hadn’t quite set in yet. I had to set out to find water. That was the only thing that matter currently I looked around to see if I could find some high ground.

I climbed to a top of the hill and looked out over the treetops looking for where the most vegetation was growing. I knew this would be the best chance of finding water all plants need it. I also might get lucky and find some wildlife too. Where there is water there is food. I make my trek through the forest slowly move keeping to the shadows not wanting to be seen or heard. I took relief in the fact I was wearing my military uniform it blended in well with the colors of the plant. After a couple hours of hiking in the direction I chose I cam across a ravine. I was excited I had found water at least I would be able to survive out here for a while.

I knew adventuring away from this area wouldn’t be good without someway of carrying water. This and little crack between the cliff side of the ravine would be home for a while. I can’t remember how long I spent out there. I didn’t keep track I was focused on surviving. I hunted various critters during this time with nothing more than my knife which I fashion into a spear with some near by branches and vines. I didn’t waste any meat I’d hang it up and let the breeze that was constantly blow it dry it out and eventually it would turn in Jerky. I fashioned canteens out of the skulls of these critters to hold water. I would grab the spine and yank it completely out opening up a cavity to the brain. I’d plop the brain out and use a couple of bleach tablets that I always carried on me for water purification in order to clean the skulls the best I could. I found a clay like substance I could use to plug the eye holes on the skull sealing it shut with only the cranium cavity open which would allow for drinking of water. Tho these make shift canteens were more like gallon jugs. I remember the first time killing one they reminded me a lot of a boar.

I had finally a way to hike and adventure away from this point, maybe it was fate or maybe not, or Maybe it as the hand of god guiding my way. I soon saw a ship fly over head I watched it hollering and screaming hoping they’d see me. I could clearly see marks on the side that was English writing. Although they didn’t see me this would give me a direction to go and I now had the water to do so. I would soon set off from a place I called home while on Foreas. I would venture deeper into the forest where I would encounter more Alien life.

Coming soon a fight with a tree branch.
