Above is the basic structure that we follow. It is a framework for the chain of command for Misfit Mercenaries. This is to provide order and structure to our unit. 

Company - The company is the largest unit in Misfit Mercenaries of two platoons totaling 48 members. 

Company Commander - Company Commander (CO) ranked usually as Captain, and Company Executive Officer (XO) ranked usually as 2nd Lieutenant .

 

Platoon - This is made up of four squads. Second largest unit in the guild, made up of 24 members. 

Platoon Leader - One Platoon Leader a Lieutenant and Platoon Sergeant.

Squad - Smallest unit in the guild made up of six members. 

Squad Leaders - Ranked as Sergeant

As we grow more companies may be added to this structure. Currently we only have one Company that is Alpha Company.

Officers are responsible for the members below them as well as the following: 

Rank/Promotions - Ensure that members who excel and meet the requirements are nominated for promotion
Recruitment - Ensuring that squad roles are filled in with appropirate individual giving consideration to specialization
Awards - Highlight individuals that preform exceptionally well or have performed a duty or service to the guild and greater gaming community.
Supplies - Ensuring that members, especially new recruits, are given the appropriate equipment and supplies.
Orientation - Making sure new members are giving the equipment, and are given the basic information for the guild.

Guidelines/Rules of Membership

Below are our list of rules we have these primarily to halt any issues that might come up with members griefing. In 10 years of running a guild I've not had any need for rules but felt that it was best to have some type of structure in place. 

The only requirement we have is to display our guild colors when involved in major combat operations (Currently Blue Armour, with Yellow/Gold Gloves) 

No member of Misfit Mercenaries shall sully the name of the guild/clan by carrying out any of these inappropriate acts in private or in public

 

1. Cheating other players
2. Excessive use of vulgarities in public
3. Stalking other players
4. Excessive begging
5. Excessive spamming in private and in public, thus creating a nuisance
6. Any other form of Griefing

 

Non-adherence to these aforementioned rules will result in disciplinary action up to and including expulsion from the guild/clan.

Ranks are awarded based on a few categories.

1. Guild Support - If you recruit for the guild, donate equipment or credits to new players, etc.
2. Time as a Member - How long you have been a member of the guild
3. Battlefield Skills - How well you coordinate your team during combat missions or during raids

All or some of these are taken into consideration during rank promotions.

You may nominate someone for a rank award, or you may request one yourself. To do this you must do this in the Members Only forum with subject of Rank Review: Your Character Name. 

Ranks are awarded by consensus of the General Staff

Why a Uniform?

There are a few reasons that we have a uniform color scheme. More specifically it is a standard set of colors that should be displayed on certain occasions. We ask that you wear this during group battles as it will allow you to identify team mates and guild members in other squads. That is our primary use, secondary is that it provides a sense of unity with the group as well as looking rather sweet in larger groups. We also expect that individuals wishing to become officers display our colors.
